Friday Finds: Chattea

Quanti di voi viaggiano e si dissetano acquistando una bottiglietta ai distributori automatici?
Spesso lo faccio, ma non mi piace affatto quello che trovo, eccezion fatta per l'acqua (ovvio).
Il tè alla pesca è così dolce che mi fa sentire ancora più assetata e il tè verde sa di tutto, tranne che di tè verde.
Per noi amanti degli infusi e del tè, in Giappone hanno creato Chattea.
E' un invenzione relativamente vecchia, ma ha avuto grande popolarità e l'ho scoperto leggendo il blog di Kyoko.
Sono rimasta folgorata! L'idea della Koubou Kawai era quella di fare del tè senza teiera e ci sono riusciti nell'Ottobre del 2010.
Si tratta di un piccolo imbuto-filtro di plastica che si avvita alle comunissime bottigliette d'acqua.
Basta versare nella bottiglia del tè, inserire il Chattea e chiudere la bottiglia, agitarla varie volte e lasciarla riposare, anche nel frigo. Dopo 2-3 ore il tè è pronto da bere e Chattea fungerà da colino.
Non è geniale?
Su ebay è introvabile e non credo possa funzionare perfettamente con le bottigliette italiane.
Allora perchè parlarne?
Un oggetto così semplice e colorato potrebbe ridurre gli inconvenienti derivanti dalla produzione e trasporto di ulteriore plastica e rappresentare un risparmio per i consumatori.
Perchè non importare anche in Italia questo simpatico oggetto?
Sono piccole cose che fanno riflettere.

How many of you are used to travel and quench your thirst by purchasing a bottle from a vending machine?
I do it often, but I don’t like at all what I find, except for the water (obviously).
The peach tea is so sweet that makes me feel even more thirsty and the green tea doesn’t taste like real green tea.
For us, tea lovers, in Japan was created Chattea.
It is a relatively old invention, but it has had great popularity and I've found it by reading Kyoko’s blog.
I was thunderstruck! The idea of Koubou Kawai was to make tea without a teapot and they met with success in October 2010.
It is a small plastic funnel-filter which can be screwed into an ordinary bottle of water.
Just pour the tea leaves into the bottle, insert the Chattea and close the bottle, shake it few times and let it stand, even in the refrigerator. After 2-3 hours, the tea is ready and Chattea acts as a sieve.
It is brilliant, isn’t it?
It can’t be found on ebay and I don’t think it  will work perfectly with non Japanese bottles.
So, why I’m talking about it?
Something so simple and colourful could reduce the problems arising from production and transport of additional plastic and represents savings for consumers.
I strongly believe that this can be very useful and must be introduced everywhere.
These are small things that make us think.
